Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man, on Saturday morning, while he was present at the Qalandia military roadblock, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of the young man, Tariq Amjad Musa Ghazawneh, 27, adding that his body was transported to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.
Media sources said that occupation soldiers stationed at the Qalandia military roadblock, opened fire at the young man with live ammunition, causing serious injuries.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews received the body of the slain man at the Qalandia military roadblock, after soldiers denied him medical treatment, leaving him on the ground bleeding.
Israeli forces then closed the Qalandia military roadblock, preventing citizens’ vehicles from passing through, impeding the movement of Palestinians.
Later the army invaded the funeral home for the slain young man in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, besieged mourners inside a mosque, and injured several of them.
Media sources said that occupation forces surrounded and stormed the home of the slain young man, in the town of Al-Ram, trapped mourners inside a nearby mosque, and fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades at citizens, causing many to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
In related news, Israeli forces killed the young man, Mustafa Ahmad Mustafa Masha, 23, on Friday, in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, and shot four others in the town of Beit Furik, southeast of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 808 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 169 children, and injured 6,450.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 222 in Jenin, 183 in Tulkarem, 88 in Nablus, 76 in Hebron, 64 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 50 in occupied Jerusalem, 30 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 44,664 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 105,976 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remain buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
