On Wednesday, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man, detained many others, and invaded several homes in the central West Bank governorates of Ramallah and Salfit.
Media sources said that a large army force invaded the village of Marda, north of Salfit, on Wednesday night, while soldiers detained and assaulted many citizens after storming their homes.
Sources added that Israeli soldiers broke into and searched several homes, occupied their rooftops, forced shops to close and impeded the movement of citizens.
An infantry unit detained a number of young men, transferred them to the center of Marda, and subjected them to interrogation and assault.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed the village’s last remaining entrance, and opened fire with live rounds at citizens, on Wednesday evening; no injuries were reported.
Also on Wednesday night, Israeli forces invaded the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, roamed its streets; no protests or arrests were reported.
Furthermore, in the town of Bil’in, west of Ramallah, the army confiscated several motorcycles after invading a commercial shop, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its ambulance crews treated a 24-year-old man who was shot with live rounds by Israeli soldiers, after they stormed the town of Abwein, west of Ramallah, before dawn on Wednesday.
