Two Palestinian passersby have been reportedly wounded by Israeli gunboats along the northern Gaza coast.Medical sources said that two minor injuries have been aided on the spot after having been hit by stray gun shots.
Witnesses said that a civilian car came under sporadic gun fire, apparently shot by Israeli gunboats, on Gaza shores in the Sudaniya area, just north of Gaza City.
Even after having disengaged from the coastal region in 2005, the Israeli army has been maintaining presence and control over Gaza’s sea, land and airspace. Israel placed Gaza under strict closure in June 2007.
