Several Human Rights groups and the family of detainee Yousef Al Shomaly,48, from Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem, voiced an appealed to release Al Shomaly after his health condition had sharply deteriorated in Israeli prisons.Al Shomaly suffers from a heart disease, and several years ago he underwent an open heart surgery at a Jordanian hospital in Amman. He also suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure.

Al Shomaly was kidnapped by the army nearly three weeks ago, and was imprisoned under administrative detention orders without charges or trial.

An appeal for his release was filed, and three days ago, and the Israeli Authorities reduced his detention period to three months.

In related news, the Israeli Authorities decided to imprison Shihab Mizhir, 32,  from the Deheisha refugee camp in Bethlehem, to four months under administrative detention orders without charges or trial.

Mizhir, a social activist, was kidnapped by the army along with five other activities for their social activities with different organizations.
