The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that Israeli soldiers and undercover forces invaded on Tuesday night after midnight two areas near Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.Eyewitnesses told WAFA that military bulldozers uprooted farmlands belonging to residents of Khuza’a village, east of Khan Younis.
The bulldozers were accompanied by nearly 25 tanks and armored vehicles. The uprooted lands were planted with almond and citrus trees, in addition to hothouses planted with tomatoes and other vegetables.
Undercover forces also infiltrated Al Faraheen area, east of Khan Younis. Shortly afterwards, several tanks and armored vehicles invaded the area.
The residents fear further escalation as several tanks are armored vehicles were brought to areas close to the border.
On Tuesday, soldiers killed one fighter of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas and wounded three other residents in a shelling to Al Qarara town, near Khan Younis.
