Earlier Wednesday, Israeli soldiers abducted many Palestinians, shot one and demolished two facilities, during massive invasions and violent property searches across the occupied West Bank.
A 26-year-old Palestinian man sustained a live gunshot wound to the foot early Wednesday during a protest that erupted after numerous Israeli military vehicles invaded the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
According to Amid Hassan, director of emergency services at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, the soldiers shot the young man on Fatayer Street before PRCS medics transferred him to hospital for treatment.
Israeli forces had invaded multiple neighborhoods in Nablus the previous night, surrounding the entrances of Rafidia Government Hospital and the Arab Specialized Hospital. The soldiers also stormed Rafidia Hospital itself after blocking access to its Emergency Unit.
Local sources reported that occupation forces obstructed the movement of ambulances and detained medical teams from ar-Razi Ambulance Center, the Red Crescent, and the Palestinian Medical Relief Society. Personnel and vehicles were searched while attempting to carry out their duties.
The same sources added that Israeli troops assaulted several homes, vandalized property, and abducted three individuals: Mahmoud Ghazal and Musab Naffa’ from al-Makhfiyya neighborhood, and Badr al-Saber from New Nablus.
At the time of reporting, Israeli forces remained present in the al-Ma’ajeen neighborhood, conducting operations inside a residential building.
In Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians in the Shweika suburb and in Attil town, north of the city.
The abductees, displaced youths from Nur Shams refugee camp, were identified as Nour Issa, taken from the al-Zahra area of Shweika, and Diyaa Naghnghiyyeh, seized from his apartment in a residential building in Attil.
In a related development, Israeli forces invaded the town of Bal’a, east of Tulkarem, deploying across several neighborhoods and conducting aggressive home invasions and searches. The invasions involved widespread destruction of property and field interrogations with residents.
The soldiers also invaded Beit Amin village, south of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, and were deployed in the center of the village, particularly near the Old Mosque, before withdrawing.
In Salfit, in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted four Palestinian youths, including two brothers, during a military invasion of the town of Kafr Ed-Deel, west of the city.
Media sources stated that the abducted individuals include brothers Qubeiba and Yazan Adham Ata ed-Deek, along with Mahyoub Musleh Nayef ed-Deek, Saleh al-Shannar and his son Mohammad. The abductions followed violent home invasions, during which the families were interrogated and their homes ransacked.
Sources reported that the invading forces stormed multiple homes, conducting aggressive searches and causing extensive damage.
Kafr Ed-Deek has been subjected to repeated nighttime invasions by Israeli forces, contributing to a climate of fear and instability in the area.
Also in Salfit, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers assaulted a Palestinian man in the village of Hares, northwest of the city, while he was harvesting cactus plants in Wadi Qana. They wounded him in the arm and stole his agricultural tools along with the harvested cactus.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted twelve Palestinian citizens from Hebron Governorate following violent home invasions, searches, and property destruction.
The abductees include Wissam and Sa’ad Jaber, and Samer Taha from Hebron city; Ibrahim Mohammad Sarahana from al-Fawwar refugee camp; Nafeth al-Shawamra, Nasser Badawi al-Shahatit, Mohammad Yousef Amro, Walid Mahmoud Amro, Ismail Abdul Karim Amro, Yasser Abdul Qader Amro, and Wissam Yousef Amro from the town of Dura. Additionally, Wissam Obeid was abducted from the village of Beit al-Rush, southwest of Hebron.
The same sources reported that Israeli forces severely assaulted several detainees during the invasions and subjected them to physical abuse and mistreatment.
Furthermore, the soldiers installed multiple military roadblocks at the entrances to Hebron’s towns, villages, and refugee camps, sealing off several main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded Anata town, northeast of the city, before storming and ransacking several homes.
Additionally, Israeli forces invaded the Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and stormed numerous homes. The invasion was ongoing at the time of this report.
In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers demolished a car wash and vehicle repair facility in the village of al-Jab’a, south of the city.
Diab Masha’la, head of the village council, stated that a military unit accompanied by a bulldozer invaded the village and stationed itself at its western entrance before destroying the facility, used for painting and mechanical work, under the pretext of lacking a permit.
Masha’la noted that he had received a demolition notice from the occupation authorities approximately two months ago.
He also expressed concern that Israeli forces may target a kindergarten and public park operated by the village council, citing the same baseless justifications.
