On Sunday, Day 681 of the ongoing genocide, the Israeli army continued its bombing and shelling of various parts of the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians across the devastated, starved, and besieged coastal enclave.

Medical sources have confirmed that 57 slain Palestinians, including 38 who were killed near “aid centers,” were killed, and dozens more wounded, across the Gaza Strip, Sunday.

Three Palestinians were killed and eight others wounded on Sunday evening as Israeli occupation forces bombed Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The strike targeted a gathering of civilians in the “Block 3” area of the camp. The bodies of the slain and the injured were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.

Separately, a young man was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Medical sources across Gaza hospitals reported that since dawn today, 42 civilians have been killed by Israeli fire in multiple areas of the Strip, including 22 individuals who were seeking aid—raising serious concerns over the deliberate targeting of civilians and obstruction of humanitarian access.

Several civilians were also killed on Sunday evening, including two aid-seekers, by Israeli occupation gunfire in northern Gaza.

The Al-Saraya Field Hospital, run by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, received over 40 injuries among civilians who were waiting for aid in the northwest of the Gaza Strip.

A medical source confirmed that two civilians were shot dead and others wounded by Israeli forces while trying to access humanitarian aid in the Zikim area.

These attacks, particularly against aid-seekers, violate core protections under the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the targeting of civilians and guarantees the right to humanitarian aid in times of armed conflict.

The repeated assaults on densely populated areas and gatherings of unarmed civilians underscore a pattern of conduct that may amount to war crimes under international law.

Within the past 24 hours alone, Gaza hospitals received 47 fatalities, including 9 bodies recovered from the rubble, and 226 wounded.

Since March 18, following Israel’s breach of the ceasefire agreement, the cumulative toll has reached 10,400 deaths and 43,845 injuries.

Medical reports also documented 14 fatalities and 132 injuries among civilians seeking aid during the past 24 hours, raising the total number of aid-seeker deaths received by hospitals to 1,938, with 14,420 injured.

Hospitals in Gaza recorded 7 deaths due to starvation and malnutrition over the past day, including two children.

This brings the total number of famine-related deaths to 258, among them 110 children, underscoring the catastrophic impact of the siege and the systematic denial of humanitarian access.

These figures reflect a sustained pattern of civilian targeting, collective punishment, and deprivation of essential services, in violation of international humanitarian law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention and customary legal protections for civilians in armed conflict.

The obstruction of aid, targeting of aid-seekers, and famine-related deaths may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity under international legal standards.

Medical sources reported that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,944, most of whom are children and women, since the start of Israel’s military assault on October 7, 2023. The number of injuries has climbed to 155,886. Many victims remain trapped under the rubble, with emergency and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to ongoing hostilities and access restrictions.
