Dr. Muneer Al Bursh reports that Al-Rantisi Specialized Children’s Hospital in Gaza was struck three times in rapid succession, leaving 80 patients trapped across its departments, including four in pediatric intensive care and eight newborns in neonatal care.
As Gaza’s only specialized hospital, Al-Rantisi houses irreplaceable units, including oncology, dialysis, and specialized respiratory and gastrointestinal care.
The bombing forced 40 patients to flee under fire, while 40 others remained inside with their companions, alongside four critical care cases, eight fragile newborns, and 30 medical staff.
The hospital, once a sanctuary of healing, has been turned into a scene of chaos, where patients’ breaths mix with the roar of explosions and mothers’ cries with the whistling of rockets.
