Israeli forces invaded communities across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, breaking into homes, abducting several Palestinians, imposing military roadblocks, and confiscating water tankers.
In the Bethlehem governorate, Israeli forces invaded Beit Sahour and Beit Jala, as well as the towns of Al-Ubeidiya, Ash-Shawawra and Za’atara.
In Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces broke into the home of Jaber Emad Taleb Hamdan and abducted him.
Furthermore, dozens of police and military vehicles invaded Shu’fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, and initiated searches.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Jaba’ village, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, where military bulldozers uprooted dozens of olive trees from land belonging to the Salim family.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Tubas and Tammun, southeast of the city, and abducted 86-year-old Burhan Rashid Bani Odah and his 57-year-old daughter, Rashida Burhan Bani Odah.
Kamal Bani Odah, director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society office in Tubas, said the two were abducted to pressure Rashida Bani Odah’s son to surrender. He said Israeli forces had previously abducted other relatives for the same purpose.
During the invasion of Tammun, soldiers broke into several homes and occupied the roof of one house.
In the central West Bank, protests erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces during an invasion of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah. Separately, local sources said Israeli colonizers attacked the town and stole livestock under army protection.
Israeli forces also tightened military restrictions around Ramallah and Al-Bireh in the central West Bank. A military roadblock at the entrance to Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah, obstructed hundreds of vehicles leaving the city and caused severe traffic congestion.
Soldiers established additional military roadblocks between Silwad and Yabroud, east of Ramallah, and at the entrance to Aboud, west of Ramallah, where they searched vehicles and checked identification cards.
In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Khabbab Ahmad Matrouk after breaking into and searching his home in the Nablus Street area. His family said he had been wanted by Israeli forces for two years.
The family said soldiers had previously abducted his mother, Arwa Matrouk, and his brothers, Humam, and Khattab, in what it described as an effort to force him to surrender. His father, Ahmad Matrouk, had also been abducted and placed under a six-month administrative detention order, without charges or trial.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods, broke into homes, and abducted 68-year-old Samir Al-Osta from his home in the eastern Al-Masaken area.
Israeli forces also invaded Jaba, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, and broke into several homes. Local sources said the soldiers also confiscated a agricultural tractor from a local farmer in the town.
In the Hebron governorate in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Al-Karmel, east of Yatta, and confiscated two water tankers belonging to the At-Tuwani Village Council as they transported water to Khirbet Al-Halawa in Masafer Yatta.
Local sources said soldiers detained the drivers, Ribhi Ahmad Rib’ey and Qassem Mohammad Rib’ey, and took them toward a military base near Khirbet Al-Markaz in Masafer Yatta.
The confiscations came amid tightened military measures that have impeded communities’ access to essential services, including water. Residents of Masafer Yatta have long faced demolitions, confiscations of land and equipment, and restrictions on movement and access to farmland.
These measures, coupled with the expansion of Israeli colonies in the southern Hebron area, have intensified concerns about the displacement of Bedouin and rural communities.
Israeli forces also invaded Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, broke into a home in the Al-Mamtara area, and abducted 20-year-old Malek Ahmad Breigheith after breaking into his family’s home and damaging its contents, according to local media activist Mohammad Awad.
Israeli forces also invaded Taffouh, west of Hebron, where they broke into and searched several homes.
