Israeli forces demolished a citizen’s home on Wednesday afternoon, the village of Bruqin, west of Salfit in the central occupied West Bank. In the northern West Bank, occupation soldiers demolished a stone wall in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus.
Media sources reported that a large army force, including a bulldozer, stormed Bruqin village, before surrounding the home of the citizen, Zuhair Samara, and proceeded to demolish the home.
The sources added that Samara is the father of two Palestinian detainees, Maher and Jamil Samara, who are currently held in occupation prisons.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states;
No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
Pillage is prohibited.
Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.
Rule 102 of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) states;
No one may be convicted of an offence except on the basis of individual criminal responsibility.
Rule 103 of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) prohibits collective punishments.
Meanwhile, the army invaded the village of Qusra on Wednesday afternoon, and tore down a foundation wall on land owned by Palestinian citizens.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed Qusra village and demolished stone walls in the eastern part of the village.
