June 29, 2026 – Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child on Monday, after storming the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood of Al-Bireh, east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of 15-year-old Amir Ahmad Jawad Jaber, after occupation forces shot him in the head and chest with live rounds in the city of Al-Bireh.

Media sources reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh, and opened fire towards the child, shooting and critically wounding him.


For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a critically injured child who sustained a live gunshot injury to the head.

PRCS ambulance crews transported the seriously injured child to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his wounds.


Since the beginning of the year, Israeli soldiers and illegal colonizers have killed 73 Palestinians, including 19 children and 5 women in the occupied West Bank, while the Israeli occupation continues to withhold the bodies of at least 22 of those killed.

Among those, 19 were killed in Hebron, 16 in Ramallah & Al-Bireh, 12 in Nablus, 7 in Jerusalem, 5 in Tubas, 5 in Jenin, 3 in Bethlehem, 2 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, 2 in Qalqilia, and 1 in Salfit, and 1 in Tulkarem, according to the Shireen Observatory.
