An Israeli strike killed a Palestinian couple and their two daughters in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, on Thursday, as Israeli attacks continued across the coastal enclave despite the “ceasefire.”
The strike hit the Ahmad family’s home in the Beit Lahia Project area, killing all four people inside and extensively damaging the building.
Palestinian sources identified the victims as Momen Abdul-Rahman Ahmad, his wife, Haneen Mousa Fares Saleh, and their daughters, 12-year-old Lana and 8-year-old Bana.
Rescue teams recovered the four bodies from the destroyed home and transferred them to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Several other Palestinians were injured. Local reports said an unspecified number of people remained missing beneath the rubble.
Elsewhere in northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles and drones opened heavy fire toward shelters and tents housing displaced Palestinians in the Jabalia refugee camp, injuring several people. Israeli warplanes also carried out a strike near Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Israeli artillery shelled eastern Jabalia, while tanks and low-flying helicopters opened fire across northern Gaza. Near Al-Khulafa’ Mosque, helicopter fire coincided with artillery shelling and intensive fire from Israeli military vehicles.
In Gaza City, Israeli artillery and tanks targeted eastern neighborhoods with shelling and heavy gunfire.
In the central and southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces fired illumination flares east of the Bureij refugee camp, while Israeli naval vessels opened heavy fire off the coast of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and toward eastern areas of central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, a Palestinian sustained critical injuries when an Israeli drone struck al-Tina Street in the Mawasi al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis. The injured Palestinian was taken to the Nasser Medical Complex for treatment.
Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire toward areas east of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.
The attacks were among continuing Israeli violations of the “ceasefire” that took effect on October 10, 2025. The violations have included drone and air strikes, artillery shelling, gunfire from tanks and military vehicles, naval fire and low-altitude military flights.
Large numbers of displaced Palestinians continue to live in tents and shelters near areas of Israeli military deployment, where continuing Israeli fire leaves civilians at risk despite the “ceasefire.”
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the death toll had risen to 73,669 as of Thursday, while at least 174,652 Palestinians had been injured since October 7, 2023. The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israel’s assault constitutes genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
An unspecified number of victims remain beneath collapsed buildings and along roads that ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach.
