On Wednesday, illegal Israeli colonizers carried out a number of attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the injury of at least four citizens, including a woman in Bethlehem, Jericho, and Salfit. Occupation forces razed land, and expropriated 38 dunams of land belonging to the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Media sources reported that illegal settlers assaulted and severely injured a Palestinian young man on Wednesday afternoon, in the Bedouin community of Arab al-Rashayda, northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its ambulance crews transported a seriously wounded young man to the hospital after he suffered a severe head injury, later found to be a skull fracture.
Meanwhile, Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinians in Kisan village, south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, while Israeli soldiers shot a 25-year-old man.
Salameh Rashayda, the deputy head of the Kisan village council, told the WAFA News Agency that a group of colonizers, under army protection, assaulted Palestinian citizens while they were plowing their land in the “Wadi Abu Ayash” area.
Rashayda added that the settlers beat the citizens with clubs and rocks, while the soldiers opened fire at those who attempted to confront the attack, shooting a young man in the leg before he was transported to the hospital for treatment.
According to Jom’a Rashayda, the head of the Arab Rashayda council, “dozens of settlers from the Tekoa settlement and the Amos outpost attacked farmers while they were plowing their lands near the village.”
Al-Rashayda added that “clashes took place between settlers and landowners, resulting in injuries among farmers due to cases of suffocation as a result of gas bombs fired by the occupation army, which arrived at the scene, while the settlers withdrew.”
Furthermore, illegal colonizers shot a Palestinian young man with live ammunition on Wednesday night, in the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Media sources reported that armed paramilitary settlers invaded the “Khirbet al-Tall” area south of the town and opened fire towards Palestinian young men, shooting one in the leg with a live round; his injury was deemed to be minor.
For its part, the municipality of Sinjil stated that the armed colonizers fired bursts of gunfire towards citizens with the “Popular Guard Committee”.
The municipality explained that “This crime comes within the framework of escalating attacks by settlers, supported by the occupation army, against Palestinian villages and towns, in an attempt to impose a new colonial reality on the ground.”
Moreover, on Wednesday evening, a woman sustained injuries after illegal settlers hurled rocks at her vehicle on road linking the town of Kisan and the village of Rashayda, south of Bethlehem.
Media sources reported that Israeli colonizers hurled rocks at citizens’ vehicles, resulting in a woman sustaining bruises to her chest.
The Israeli occupation authorities delivered a military order to confiscate 38 dunams of citizens’ lands in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Halim Abu Maria, a municipality engineer in Beit Ummar, told the WAFA News Agency that the municipality received a military order to seize 38 dunams of citizens’ lands.
According to media activist Mohammad Awad, the lands, planted with vineyards, almond trees, and olive trees, all owned by local families.
Occupation forces welded shut the doors of a number of homes belonging to the Idris family in the Jaber neighborhood, near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of Hebron.
Lastly, Israeli forces invaded Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening, sparking protests, while settlers razed citizens’ land in the “Wadi Ammar” area, under the protection of the occupation forces.
