Palestinian sources reported Thursday that Tourism Minister, Basem Khoury, resigned from his post, and that Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Salaam Fayyad, accepted his resignation.Khoury submitted his resignation last week to Fayyad, and the later accepted the resignation after reviewing it.
No further detailed were provided regarding the reasons that pushed the minister to resign.
The resignation is the second in the transitional government of Dr. Fayyad.
Former Jerusalem Minister, Hatim Abdul-Qader, submitted his resignation in January of this year, shortly after he was appointed to his post.
