Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man on Sunday afternoon, after shooting him while he was attempting to scale the Apartheid Wall in the town of Ar-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of the young man Emad Haroun Shtayyeh, 26, after occupation soldiers shot him in the thigh with live rounds at the Apartheid Wall in Ar-Ram town.
The Ministry said that Israeli forces targeted Shtayyeh with live ammunition at the Apartheid Wall in Ar-Ram town, before he succumbed to his serious injuries at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, adding that he was a resident of Salem village, east of Nablus.
Citizens posted a video of the moment a number of young men successfully retrieved the seriously wounded young man down from the ladder up against the Apartheid Wall, used by Palestinians to reach their workplaces inside Israel.
The video shows the barely conscious young man being carried down the ladder, with blood on his leg and a large pool of blood on the ground below him, he was transported to the hospital by a civilian vehicle, resulting in excessive blood loss.
The Ar-Ram portion of the Apartheid Wall is the scene of frequent Israeli attacks against Palestinians trying to scale the 8 meter high wall, which is topped with barbed wire, in order to reach their jobs or obtain employment inside Israel.
According to the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions, more than 50 Palestinian workers have been killed by occupation forces and more than 38,000 others have been abducted between October 7, 2023 and May 1, 2026.
