Israeli occupation forces carried out extensive home and structure demolitions across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, targeting residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in Bethlehem, Jenin, and additional districts as part of an expanding campaign of demolition orders and land seizures.
Troops invaded the “Qornat al‑Da’mas” area in the town of Nahalin west of Bethlehem and demolished two inhabited two‑story homes belonging to Ahmad Mohammad Najajra and Mohammad Yousef Awad.
Both families had evacuated the houses a week earlier after receiving demolition notices. Local sources said the demolitions are part of a broader decision targeting 14 homes and structures in different parts of Nahalin, several of which have already been destroyed.
The soldiers also demolished a commercial steel‑selling facility measuring roughly 3,000 square meters, owned by Thieb Abdul‑Hafeth Shakarna.
In the village of Al‑Maniya southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli troops invaded the “Khalayel al‑Qas” area and demolished the home of elderly resident Abdul‑Rabbah Mahmoud Kawazba.
The one‑story house, about 150 square meters in size, was evacuated under military orders before the demolition began.
The head of the village council, Ahmad Kawazba, said the military closed the entire area, fired toxic gas and concussion grenades, and caused several residents to suffer inhalation injuries.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces issued new demolition notices near the town of Jaba’ south of Jenin.
Resident Ahmad Al‑Azzam said troops invaded the area and handed him a demolition order targeting his family’s contracting company headquarters, built on approximately 4.7 dunams and used for a decade.
The facility includes offices, storage structures, and a surrounding fence, and the military gave him seven days to file an objection.
The army also delivered a demolition notice to resident Mustafa Al‑Safeer from Silat ath‑Thaher, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank, targeting his industrial facility.
The structure includes a two‑story building of about 300 square meters and an additional 120‑square‑meter building. He was ordered to remove all industrial equipment within seven days in preparation for demolition.
Local sources in Jenin said Israeli authorities continue escalating demolition orders, land clearing, and confiscations, alongside targeting Palestinian facilities and property throughout the governorate.
