Israeli occupation forces seized three Palestinian homes in the Sateh Marhaba neighborhood of al‑Bireh on Wednesday evening, forcibly evacuating the families and converting the structures into military posts, while simultaneously invading the adjacent Um al‑Sharayet area and escalating their assault on Kafr ‘Aqab and Qalandia refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said the soldiers stormed the three homes, ransacked rooms, interrogated the families, and then ordered all residents to leave “until further notice.”
The sources added that the soldiers turned the occupied homes into military barracks used for troop deployment and surveillance.
Troops also invaded Um al‑Sharayet with several military vehicles, closed the main road, blocked Palestinian traffic, and deployed throughout the neighborhood while conducting extensive searches and movement restrictions.
The invasion came as part of the ongoing Israeli assault on Kafr ‘Aqab and Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, where the army pushed additional reinforcements and bulldozers, positioned snipers on rooftops, closed key roads, stormed dozens of homes, and carried out searches and abductions amid a heavy military presence.
In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces invaded the villages of Kafr Malik and Deir Jarir east of Ramallah, spreading through both communities without reporting abductions or home invasions.
Meanwhile, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian lands in the Shu‘ab al‑Louz area west of al‑Mughayyer, herding their sheep onto privately owned lands as part of their ongoing attacks on Palestinian property.
