On Friday, Israeli forces blocked solidarity activists from approaching a besieged home in the “Ras al-Ain” area of Qusra village, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
A number of solidarity activists attempted to approach the besieged home to deliver food and water to the Palestinian families held hostage by illegal colonizers, who are backed by occupation soldiers.
According to Abdul Azim Wadi, the Mayor of Qusra, occupation forces prevented solidarity activists from reaching the home, while allowing the illegal settlers to continued their siege of the home.
On August 9, a group of Israeli colonizers stormed the village of Qusra, blocked the roads leading to the home and erected a tent near it, trapping fifteen citizens inside the home, while cutting off their water and electricity.
For the sixth consecutive day, Israeli settlers have besieged fifteen citizens in the two-story villa belonging to Palestinian-American Louay Abdel Moneim Abu Rida, who resides in the United States.
In related news, the Fatah Youth Movement called on Palestinians to confront the attempts of illegal colonizers to seize citizens’ land and homes, and to recruit protection committees in threatened areas.
In a statement the movement urged its members and activists to stand alongside Palestinians facing attacks by illegal colonizers.
The movement emphasized that these attacks have become integrated with the policy of the occupation, rather than being isolated incidents, with the aim of settlement expansion and land expropriation.
