Israeli occupation forces killed one Palestinian and wounded several others, including a child, in attacks across Gaza on Monday, as the UN warned that continued military attacks, aid restrictions, and funding shortfalls were worsening humanitarian conditions and water insecurity across the devastated territory.
Medical sources reported that Mohammad Adnan Bashir succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli bombardment of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said a child was wounded when Israeli military vehicles opened fire on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.
Several other displaced Palestinians were injured when Israeli artillery shelled the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City. An artillery shell also struck a home near the Al-Sanafur junction, causing a fire, while Israeli tanks intensified live fire in the area.
Israeli warplanes also carried out two airstrikes east of Gaza City, while artillery targeted areas south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Israeli forces additionally detonated buildings southeast of Khan Younis despite the ceasefire agreement.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that five slain Palestinians and 18 wounded Palestinians were transferred to hospitals during the previous 48 hours. The fatalities included two Palestinians killed in recent attacks and the recovered bodies of three others.
Since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,265 Palestinians and wounded 4,198 others, while rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 813 Palestinians, the Health Ministry said.

The cumulative death toll from the genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,399 Palestinians, with at least 174,310 others wounded.
The ministry added that additional victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in areas unreachable by rescue crews.

Also, the Health Ministry warned of a worsening medical crisis after most oxygen-generation stations in Gaza hospitals ceased operating due to the continued lack of spare parts and maintenance equipment.
It said the shortage threatens critically ill and wounded patients, including those in intensive care, neonatal, and pediatric intensive care units.
In a separate warning, Gaza’s Government Media Office said more than 2.15 million Palestinians remain displaced under catastrophic humanitarian conditions, with hundreds of thousands living in deteriorating makeshift tents and temporary shelters amid ongoing shortages of essential supplies.

In its humanitarian situation report published on August 14, 2026, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said most Palestinians in Gaza remained displaced in harsh conditions and exposed to ongoing military attacks, while humanitarian operations continued amid persistent restrictions and funding shortages.
OCHA added that 90 percent of the population experienced moderate-to-high water insecurity in early July, up from 84 percent in June.
The attacks and humanitarian warnings underscore Gaza’s worsening conditions, as continued ceasefire violations compound widespread destruction, mass displacement, and critical shortages of medical and humanitarian supplies.
