Israeli forces abducted Palestinians during invasions across the occupied West Bank on Monday. The Jerusalem Governorate said at least 53 young men were held for interrogation in Biddu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, as soldiers broke into homes, assaulted residents and disrupted traffic in several areas.
In the Tulkarem governorate in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five Palestinians, including three former prisoners, at dawn Monday after breaking into and searching their homes.
The forces abducted brothers Islamboly Riyad Bodeir, 40, and Qassam Riyad Bdeir, 37, as well as Aziz Emad Hattab, 40, and Mohammad Salama Abu Khadra, all from Tulkarem city. They also abducted Najib Kattana, 51, from an-Nazla ash-Sharqiya, north of Tulkarem.
In Kufur Qaddum, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, soldiers invaded the town and broke into several homes.
In the Jenin governorate in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted seven Palestinians, including two women, from several towns.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said the forces carried out a large-scale invasion of Fahma, south of Jenin, where soldiers broke into several homes, interrogated residents and abducted Dalal Qaher Jamil Sa’abna, her sister Eman, Ayman Ramzi Sa’abna and his brother Ali.
An Israeli undercover unit also invaded Qabatia, south of Jenin, and abducted Mohammad Tal’at Tazaza and Rami Shawkat Zakarna. In a separate invasion of Ya’bad, southwest of Jenin, soldiers abducted Amir Hazem Badarneh after breaking into his home. During two invasions of the town, soldiers also broke into and damaged an agricultural nursery, searched homes and damaged property.
In related news, Israeli forces invaded an area housing people displaced from the Jenin refugee camp near the Arab American University. Troops also invaded Faqqu’a and Beit Qad, east of Jenin, and broke into homes in both villages.
Additional Israeli forces invaded the al-Bayader area of Jenin, as well as the towns of az-Zababda, south of Jenin, and Ya’bad, southwest of the city.
In the Nablus governorate in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Burqa, northwest of Nablus city, at dawn Monday with military reinforcements.
Local sources said soldiers broke into and searched several homes, damaged their contents, physically assaulted some residents and interrogated them. Israeli forces also invaded Urif, south of Nablus.
In the Ramallah governorate in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Kafr Ein, Qarawat Bani Zeid, Beit Rima and Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah.
Local sources said the soldiers fired live ammunition, sound bombs and tear gas during the invasions, with no injuries reported.
Furthermore, several Israeli armored military vehicles invaded Salfit city in the central West Bank, moved through several neighborhoods and closed streets.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces fired large quantities of tear gas toward homes in ar-Ram town, north of the city.
Israeli forces also invaded Biddu, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, at dawn Monday and carried out a widespread campaign in which dozens of young men were taken from the town.
The Jerusalem Governorate said Israeli forces were continuing to hold at least 53 young men for interrogation inside a home they had seized during the invasion.
Soldiers also broke into and vandalized several homes, blew open doors and physically assaulted a number of residents. Medical sources said an elderly Palestinian was wounded when soldiers blew open the door of his home before breaking into the property. The soldiers also confiscated several cars from the town.
Israeli forces also invaded the area around the Qalandia military roadblock, north of occupied Jerusalem. Israeli restrictions at military roadblocks caused heavy traffic and a backlog of Palestinian vehicles on the Anata–Hizma road, north of occupied Jerusalem.
In the Bethlehem governorate in the southern West Bank, soldiers abducted Palestinian child Yousef Mohammad al-Amour from his father’s home in Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem.
In the Hebron governorate in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Yazan Rajab Barqan after breaking into and searching his home and damaging its contents.
The forces also installed military roadblocks at entrances to Hebron and communities across the governorate, including towns, villages and refugee camps, and closed main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth mounds.
