The Israeli army broke into the house of ex-detainee, Duaa’ al-Jayyousi, in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, the Palestinian news agency, Ma’an reported. The army personnel broke into and searched the house after interrogating her. She was threatened and told she is under surveillance and that she may be sent back to prison.
Al-Jayyousi was sentenced to three life terms plus an additional 32 years. She spent 10 years in Israeli jails, and was released within the prisoner-swap deal, that secured the release of Israeli corporal, Gilad Shalit, last month.
A Palestinian Prisoners Society’ spokesperson described the action as “barbarous”, and stated that the Israeli government is failing in its policies amidst the political developments in the regions, and popular protests in Tel Aviv.
