Israeli soldiers invaded, on Sunday at noon, Awarta town, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped one resident. One Palestinian was also kidnapped near Ramallah. Local sources reported that the army surrounded the village before several military vehicles invaded it.
The source added that the soldiers broke into and searched several homes before kidnapping Samer Faisal Qdeih, 27.
Soldiers withdrew from the village later on, and moved Qdeih to the Huwwara military base, near the town.
On Sunday at dawn, soldiers kidnapped one resident after breaking into his home in Birzeit town, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
The Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University has reported that several Israeli military vehicles invaded the town, kidnapped Fadi Hamad in the Al-Marj area after violently searched his home.
The Islamic Bloc added that Hamad is the former elected head of the Students Council in Birzeit University, and added that “the Israeli army, and Palestinian security forces, repeatedly arrest and imprison former and current Islamic bloc members of the university’s Student Council.”
