The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, stated a group of fighters managed to infiltrate into an Israeli military base across the border fence, and positioned themselves there for around six hours before engaging fire with the army. Army audio communicated intercepted.The Brigades said its fighters managed to obtain two M-16 machine guns from the army, and that the fighters had easy access to Israeli settlements in the area, but chose to engage the military to avenge the ongoing onslaught on Gaza, and the killing of the civilians in the coastal region.
The Brigades published pictures and the serial numbers of the obtained machine guns, and said one of its fighters was killed, and the remaining eleven managed to return to Gaza.
It also claimed its fighters ‘killed six soldiers, and wounded several others in the attack’.
The Brigades said: “Israel needs to learn its massacres against the children, the innocent civilians in Gaza, will be avenged.”
In its statement, the Brigades said its fighters fired shells into several military vehicles, destroying three.
Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas said its fighters targeting the Sofa military base, late on Saturday at night. “The fighters infiltrated the base through tunnels, and clashed with Israeli soldiers killing five, three in the head and two in their bodies, and managed to return to Gaza.”
Israel confirmed the death of two soldiers, and denied any further deaths among its soldiers during the Saturday incidents.
Israeli daily Haaretz said the two soldiers were killed, and four others were injured when the Palestinian fighters breached the military base.
Haaretz added that three soldiers were also injured, two moderately, as the army invaded an area in Central Gaza, and that three soldiers were wounded, on Friday at night, during clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier Saturday, a Palestinian shell reportedly killed a Bedouin close to Dimona, in the southern part of the country.
In a video published by the al-Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad, on July 18, 2014, reportedly of an intercepted radio communication of the Israeli army, it revealed that one soldier was confirmed killed, many injured, some possibly dead.
The communication was between two female soldiers apparently in a military base and central command.

A: “Can you tell me about what is happening to the wounded, I received info of one fatality?”
B: “Yes, there is one killed, and in recent minutes we received information about several wounded soldiers, and additional soldiers killed, you have to call on all forces to hurry up and arrive at the area of clashes, there are many brigades that did not arrive… we call on all forces to head to the site of clashes now”
A: “Continue the call”
B: Louder, more urgent voice: “Calling on all forces to head to the location right now”.
The video ends with a fighter of the Islamic jihad holding one of the machine guns that the fighters managed to obtain from an Israeli tank after firing a missile at it, and detonating it”.
