Israeli troops kidnap civilians during invasions targeting West Bank communities. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

The Israeli Prison Authority transferred, on Tuesday, wounded female detainee, Amal Taqatqa, from an Israeli hospital to prion, despite her need for further medical attention, and treatment.

The Palestinian Detainees Committee stated that Taqatqa, 22 years of age, was moved from the surgery ward of the Hadassah Ein Karem Israeli hospital, in Jerusalem, to the women’s section of the HaSharon Israeli prison.

The Committee said Taqatqa has not recovered from her injuries, cannot perform simple tasks, and requires constant medical treatment and observation. Taqatqa underwent several surgeries, and currently cannot move around without a wheelchair, and is still facing sharp pain in her loin, left leg and arm.

On December 1st, Taqatqa was shot by several rounds of live ammunition, fired by Israeli soldiers at the Etzion Junction, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, after the army alleged she stabbed an Israeli settler, causing a minor cut to his neck.

Earlier on Tuesday at dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded several Palestinian communities in different parts of the occupied West Bank, broke into and searched dozens of homes, and kidnapped 21 Palestinians. The kidnapped include six in Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and two in Jerusalem.

In other news, a rare ‘White Christmas’ was celebrated Tuesday evening by Orthodox Christians in Bethlehem. The snow did not hinder the festivities, which were carried out as planned. The festivities began with parades by scout troop bands, which marched in Bethlehem, followed by worshipers and pilgrims.

The Israeli authorities increased their patrols in the Bethlehem area, and tightened the access through the checkpoint they maintain between Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Gazan Christians were, for the most part, denied permits to go to Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas.
