An Israeli army officer was wounded while cashing settlers, who earlier were spotted throwing stones at Palestinians near the West Bank city of Nablus, eight settlers has been so far arrested.
Soldiers, who arrived at the settlement of Bracha to detain the assailants, clashed with settlers. The commander of a Paratrooper Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Guy Hazut, was thrown to ground by a settler while attempting to arrest one of the identified assailants.
He was injured in the leg and evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva for medical attention.
4 settlers arrested after attacking Palestinians near NablusÂÂ
Four West Bank settlers were arrested Friday after throwing stones at Palestinians near the West bank city of Nablus.
A group of settlers from the Bracha settlement were caught by Israel soldiers attacking Palestinians in a quarry near the village of Burin.
The settlers clashed with soldiers and police officers and subsequently fled the scene. Police officers tracked them down to homes in the Bracha settlement and arrested four of them.
Police were still searching for a fifth suspect seen with the assailants.
