An Israel army source said that army is considering a response to bombing attack near the workers gate at the Erez border crossing in the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported Friday.
The source also hinted that the Palestinian Authority is responsible for the attack, as it took place in an area under Palestinian police control.
The source failed to explain why an army military jeep would patrol areas that are under PA security control.
Military jeep hits roadside bomb at Eretz Crossing
Friday at night, an Israeli military source reported that an armored military vehicle hit a roadside bomb near the workers gate at the Eretz crossing in the Gaza Strip, no injuries were reported.
The Israeli radio reported that security official consider the incident as a “direct escalation” of what they described as “Palestinian terror”.
Military officials held the P.A security responsible of the bomb since it “was planted in an area controlled by the P.A security”.
The source added that the military command is currently “considering a response”, which might be an indication to a possible invasion or raid in Gaza.
