The Israeli prison authority is looking into establishing a new prison, or adding new sections to already existing prisons, to be ready to jail hundreds of settlers who are expected to violently demonstrate against the evacuation of settlements, Israeli newspaper Yodot Ahranot reported on Monday.
According to the same source, justice ministry and security officials are preparing for the expected eruption of massive and violent settlers reaction when army starts the actual evacuation of settlements.
Plans for quick and massive arrests, accelerated legal procedures, and usage of administrative detention to prevent extreme right wing activists from arriving at settlements while being evacuated are being carefully examined.
