Israeli security raised the level of alert as indicators of plans of extremist Jews attack on Haram Al-Sharif in Jerusalem increased considerably, Israeli TV Channel 1 reported Wednesday.

Extreme right Jewish activists plan to attack the holy site as a way to foil Israeli Prime Minister’s disengagement plan.

Israeli security forces intend to bolster forces around the Haram Al-Sharif compound.

Earlier on Wednesday, police had announced closing the compound to non-Moslems on Sunday, the day a right wing extremist group called Revava, planned to hold a mass rally on the site.
