Soldiers conducted a wide scaled operation in Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, and apprehended seven residents in Hebron and the neighboring villages of Al-Thaheriyya and Al-Sammou’ and Al-Fawwar refugee camp.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society in Hebron, said that soldiers supported by tens of armored vehicles and tanks raided several villages around Hebron and conducted vast searches.
Meanwhile, in the village of Al-Thaheriyya soldiers conducted vast searches and apprehended Mohammad Ismail Al-Tel. 38, Yousef Al-Khateeb, 37, Mohamad Ali Abu Allan, 17, Ahmad and Yousef Hasan Al-Qeiseyya, 35 and 30 years old, in addition to a seventh resident who was not identified.
A local source in Al-Thaheriyya said that soldiers raided the village earlier on Monday dawn, broke into tens of homes and fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at them.
Most of the raided homes are located in the north west of the village.
The source added that soldiers forced the residents to take some of their clothes off in order to search them.
Meanwhile, in the city of Hebron, soldiers raided the neighborhoods of Ein Sara, Al-Hawouz and Qarn Al-Thour, and broke into tens of homes.
Soldiers during the searches broke into a home which belongs to Al-Zaatary family, held the residents in one room, and searched the home and the surrounding fields.
One resident was handcuffed, blindfolded and apprehended after soldiers stopped tens of cars and withheld several residents in the old city of Hebron and Al-Hawouz and Wad Al-Harya areas.
Meanwhile, in Al-Fawwar refugee camp, in the south of Hebron , soldiers severely clubbed Mohammad Ismail Al-Najjar, a member of the P.A security.
A local source in the camp said that soldier withheld Al-Najjar at the entrance of the camp, and interrogated him.
On the other hand, head of Al-Sammou’ village council, Bassem Al-Zaareer, said that soldiers raided the village several times during the past few days and repeatedly fire sound bombs at the homes during late night hours.
Al-Zaareer added that soldiers also withheld tens of residents in the areas of Rafat, Al-Deir, and Wad Al-Amayer, in the south of the village.
