The chair person of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Rawhi Fattouh announced Wednesday that the Palestinian lawmakers decided to suspend their meetings for one month in a protest against the Palestinian Cabinet.
The Palestinian Prisedent Yasser Arafat refused to approve a set of 12 new legislations submitted by the PLC after being approved in their third reading.
Arafat informed the PLC members that he will approve the new legislations however, they are still pending, said Fattouh, and added that there are other legislations that should be taken serious by the government.
The suspention of the PLC sessions will last between September 7 to October 7 to give a chance to the government to reconsider the new legislations.
