Friday evening, Israeli soldiers attacked a peaceful procession against the Separation Wall in the village of Bal’in, west of Ramallah.
A local source in the village reported that soldiers attacked dozens of residents who marched towards a construction site, while military bulldozers were uprooting the fields.
Army fired rubber coated bullets and gas bombs as dozens of residents attempted to stop the bulldozers from uprooting the fields, five residents were injured.
A medical source in Ramallah identified the wounded residents as Hazim Shawkat, Eyad Al-Khateeb, Osama Nasser, Omar Hisham, and two brothers; Assi and Haitham Jamal.
Also, soldiers attacked several journalists, barred them from covering the events and attempted to confiscate their equipment.
One Israeli peace activist was arrested.
