Israeli troops incurred Sunday into the city of Tul-Karim, first time since the northern west bank city was handed to the Palestinian Authority, and arrested Mohammed Shalhub 19.

Israeli security sources said that Shalhub was a ‘ticking bomb’, and that he was arrested immediately after he filmed a video tape declaring intention to carry out a military operation against an Israeli target.

The Palestinian governor of Tul Karm condemned the Israeli operation, saying it violated the handover agreement.

Israeli security believes that Shalhub belongs to the Islamic Jihad movement.

Local sources said three years ago, Shalhub’s sister Nura was shot dead at an Israeli military check post. Soldiers then claimed she attempted to stab a soldier.
