Israeli authorities informed Dir Estia village council, near Salfit, of intentions to annex 14 Dunams of family farmlands which belongs to residents of the village.

Dr. Nafeth Mansour, head of Dir Estia village council reported that the Israeli authorities officially informed the council that the annexed lands will be used for military purposes.

Mansour added that the exact municipal number and location of the lands slated for annexation was not specified.

Also, Mansour appealed international humanitarian organizations to aid the residents in defending their lands, and stop the Israeli procedures of land grab and construction of settlements and military camps.

On the other hand, Israeli soldiers blocked a number of checkpoints leading to the city barring the residents from crossing.

Dozens of residents, students and employees were held and interrogated for several hours, no arrests.
