Netanyahu: U.S. civil aid to Israel will end in 3-4 years

Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that In three or four years American financial aid for non-military purposes would end completely.

Netanyahu’s comments came in an interview with Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The finance minister affirmed his intention to run for prime minister in the coming elections. 

“Do I want to again become a prime minister? Yes,” he says. “Do I think I’m suitable to be a prime minister? Yes.”

Netanyahu also said that he is targeting a significant but balanced tax reduction.

 “My wish is to lower almost all taxes in Israel,” he says. “Most of them are too high.”
