The Israeli army decided to grab more farmlands lands near the village of Ya’bod, west of Jenin in order to use them for ‘military purposes’, and to install a military tower.

West Bank military commander at the Israeli army, Ya’er Naveh, issued a military order on Wednesday to grab 14 Dunams from the residents of Ya’bod for what he described as “military purposes”.

The army intends to construct a military camp and monitoring towers in the annexed lands.

Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers bulldozed lands near Jenin-Tulkarem road in order to install a monitoring tower in the area.

The residents expressed fear that the monitoring tower and new military camp will lead to further land grab, and endanger their lives while working in their orchards.
