In a bid to end the crisis with the United States over arms exports, Israel has decided to comply with all of Washington’s demands regarding the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) deal with China and to implement changes in the supervision of Israel’s arms exports.
On Friday, Sharon instructed an Israeli delegation leaving Sunday for Washington to agree to American demands.
Israel hopes this move will end the 6 months U.S. sanctions against it, which have caused grave damage to Israel’s defense industries and the work relations between the Israeli Defense Ministry and the U.S. Pentagon.
Consequently, Israel will have to violate, once again an agreement to supply defense equipment to China. Under American pressure, Israel canceled the Falcon airplane deal with China five years ago. .
China is expected to demand compensation fees and avoid making arm sales agreements with Israel in the future..
