Tuesday night, a Palestinian resistance fighter was shot killed near the Morag settlement, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, another fighter fled the scene.

An Israeli military source stated that soldiers shot dead a Palestinian fighter after approaching the settlement of Morag, another fighter escaped unharmed.

“Soldiers opened fire at the two gunmen after spotting them near the settlement fence, they shot one while the other fired back and managed to escape”, the source reported.

The army claims that the fighter was apparently attempting to plant a bomb near the settlement; no reports were published about defusing or safely detonating any explosive in the area.

Also on Wednesday, Palestinian resistance fired a homemade shell at Gush Katif settlement early Wednesday causing damage to a house, army radio reported.
