The WAFA news agency reported on Monday at night that one youth was killed, several residents were injured in Nour Shams refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Tulkarem after Israeli soldiers invaded it and fired rounds of live ammunition at dozens of homes.
A medical source in Tulkarem stated that Tamer As’ad Zandeeq, 18, sustained a live round in his head causing instant death, at least two other residents were injured.
Also, soldiers conducted military searches of homes and withdrew from the camp shortly after the child was killed, no arrests were reported.
The Israeli army claimed that dozens of residents hurled stones and cocktail bombs at three military jeeps in the area hitting one.
A local source in the camp reported that Zandeeq lives with his family in Saudi Arabia, and was visiting relatives in the camp.
