Soldiers started, on Wednesday, expanding Al Hamra checkpoint, near the West Bank city of Tubas.

The WAFA news agency reported that military bulldozers started leveling lands around the checkpoint, and the military camp adjacent to it.

Soldiers barred dozens of vehicles from crossing for several hours, and did not allow the residents to cross even on foot.

Al Hamra checkpoint was installed since the beginning of Al Aqsa Intifada in 2000, on the main crossing which leads to Jericho, the northern plains, and the southern West Bank districts.
