Israeli soldiers fired, on Friday evening, a tank shell at residents near Abu Holy checkpoint, north of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip; one resident was seriously injured.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Ministry of Health, reported that resident Hani Odeh Abu Sawaween was transferred to Soroko Israeli hospital in Be’er Shiva.
Soldiers resumed the closure on Abu Holy and Al Matahin checkpoints, barring the residents from crossing.
