An Israeli military source reported that the Israeli air force is planning to monitor Gaza through an electronic airborne system using an unmanned plane, which will enable Israel gather intelligence information and continuously monitor movements on the ground.

The source stated that the air force has a number of planes which are capable of flying for 40 consecutive hours at an altitude of 10,000 kilometers, and are equipped with sophisticated electronic monitoring devices.

The planes are capable of taking clear pictures even in the worst climatic conditions. Also, they could be equipped with marine radar to monitor the Gaza coast, and is capable of mounting air strikes.
