Israeli soldiers reopened Sofa Crossing, east of Dir Al Balah, on Monday morning after closing it for three weeks.

A Palestinian source reported that head of the Crossings Security at the Palestinian Authority, Saleem Abu Safiyya, met two days ago with Israeli officials and agreed to open the crossing.

On Sunday, Israeli authorities opened Al Mintar trade crossing, while the Rafah borders crossing and Eretz crossing remained closed.

Abu Safiyya reported that the Rafah border crossing will be opened in the near future.
