An Israeli military source reported on Sunday evening, that two Israeli policemen were stabbed near the “Tunnel Road”, close to Beit Jala Palestinian town, near Bethlehem.
The source stated that the Palestinian, who is said to be a car thief, stabbed the two policemen while attempting to escape arrest.
One of the police officers suffered moderate wounds, while the other was lightly hurt; both were transferred to Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
“The stabber was shot in the leg and apprehended”, an Israeli military source reported.
