The Israeli police arrested on Thursday a, Israeli right-wing teen suspected of attacking an Israeli army deputy commander last week. The teen attacked the commander while soldiers were evacuating an illegal settlement outpost near Elon Moreh settlement in the West Bank.

The teen, 17-year-old, attacked and punched Lieutenant Colonel Benny Shick in his eye, Israeli online daily Haaretz reported.

The teen, who was arrested by the Israeli police at the entrance of Itamar settlement, is from the center of the country. He is believed to by the leader of “hilltop youth “settler group.

Hilltop Youth settlers attacked the officer and other military officers late October while the army was evacuating the outpost.

Several youth from the same groups shouted at the soldiers and called them “Nazis” “Jew haters”, and burnt an army vehicle after wrecking it.

The army did not conduct any arrest after the attack took place; a complaint will be filed against the settlers will be submitted to the West Bank division of Israeli police on Thursday.
