altIsraeli soldiers arrested on Friday, Nabeel Mazzawi, a cameraman who works with the Qatar based Al Jazeera news station, after attacking and hitting him with batons and confiscated his journalists’ video camera, one resident was injured.

Sheering Abu Aqla, a reporter working with Al Jazeera said that soldiers attacked Mazzawi and al Jazeera crew while they were reporting on the protest near the construction site of the Separation Wall in Bilin.

Mazzawi and six Palestinian residents were arrested and were taken to a military base in Givat Zeev settlement.

Also, soldiers attacked Abdullah Sawafta from Aboud village near Ramallah; Sawafta also works with Al Jazeera.

Soldiers confiscated a camera from Al Jazeera crew. Also, soldiers used a previously known weapon against the protestors, by firing the “bean bullets” against the protestors.

 Troops attacked the residents and peace activists after conducting the Friday prayers near the construction site of the Separation Wall, Abdullah Abu Rahma, coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall told the IMEMC.

Resident Haitham Al Khateeb was transferred to the Ramallah Governmental Hospital after suffering a large bruise in his leg. Soldiers use hunting rifle to fire a small bean bag.

Soldiers also use the rifle to fire 37-millemeter bullets and gas canisters. For the second time of Friday, the protestors tied themselves to bars attached to the Separation Wall to symbolize the effects of the Wall on the residents, but they were untied by other protestors as a result of heavy rain which showered the area.
