Israeli Forces fired, late on Tuesday, heavy artillery at targets in the Gaza Strip. Troops fired 15 artillery barrages into open areas in the northern of Gaza Strip throughout the night.
Earlier on Wednesday, resistance fighters fired mortar shells into the Western Negev area in Israel. No casualties or damage were reported.
 
Despite Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip last September, it resumed its policy of shelling and striking on the Gaza Strip killing scores of civilians.
 
The deadliest confrontation between the two sides was last October when Israeli air force hit Hamas rally in the Jabalia area, killed and injured dozens of Palestinians.
 
In response, Palestinian resistance fighters fired dozens of home made shells on Israeli targets causing no injuries.
