Al Quds brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, reported on Friday at night, that its fighters fired two homemade shells at the Israeli Negev town of Sderot.

The brigades stated in a press release that the shells hit Sderot; army source said that shells were fired at Sderot, but reported no damages or injuries.

Also, the brigades added that this attack comes in retaliation to the failed assassination which targeted Khaddar Habeeb, one of the political leaders of the movement, and the assassination of Yaser Ikmayyil, one of the leaders of the movement in the West Bank city of Qabatia.
