Israeli soldiers arrested on Wednesday afternoon, Sheikh Taiseer Tameemy, head of the Religious Court at the Palestinian Anteriority, and took him to an unknown destination after claiming that he entered Jerusalem without obtaining an entry permit.
 
Yosry ‘Oleywi, head of the public relations department at the office of Tameemy, said that soldiers arrested him as he was leaving Al Aqsa Mosque, after attending a meeting with a number of religious figures in the city, and officials of Al Aqsa Mosque.
 
Sheikh Tameemy was taken to an unknown destination after he was informed that he was arrested for “entering Jerusalem illegally”.
