Aqsa Martyrs Brigades groups in Nablus announced their refusal to hold PLC elections on their scheduled date because of the ongoing Israeli measures.
Sources close to the Brigades in Nablus said there were also protests against Fateh’s “unfairness” in the city’s refugee camps insofar as the candidates on the Fateh list, citing this as an other reason for not holding the elections there.
A group of armed men informed foreign observers in the Palace Hotel to leave the city to protect themselves because elections would not be held in the district.
The Brigades said a press conference would be held at noon today in Nablus to announce the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades’ official position on this issue.
