The Israeli Peace Bloc, Gush Shalom, demanded the Israeli government on Sunday to release the Palestinian jailed legislator and Fateh leader, Marwan Barghouthi, who is serving several life-terms in Israeli prisons.
Gush Shalom reported that Barghouthi is an important leader, and will be released sooner or later because everybody knows the significance of this man, especially in the peace making process.
Also, Gush shalom added that the release of Barghouthi prior to the Palestinian elections will create a new atmosphere for peace and dialogue between the Israeli sand Palestinians.
